Glamour or Grit
A risograph printed publication.

 Having grown up within the dance industry, I have witnessed first hand the misconception of the art-form- such as the belief that dance is easy, dance is not a sport and dance is simply about sparkly costumes.

This project aimed to explore the contradiction between the allure of sequined costumes and the intense physical endurance it requires to be an athlete.

The research resulted in an entirely risograph printed publication, showcasing a combination of poems reflecting on the experience of being an athlete, with photographs examining the texture of dance costumes.
